Channel Islands 4th of July 5K/10K
In the beautiful Channel Islands Harbor on a ridiculously fast course

Thank You to all participants and volunteers. I apologize for the delayed start and results. We had well over 200 race day sign-ups, which we were not ready for. I think chip timing is in order for next year along with more volunteers to handle race day sign-ups and data entry. Should have brought the tents because of the moisture. Outside of those 2 issues (and lack of sleep) I had fun and felt the race went well thanks to all race participants and volunteers.
Special thanks to Inside Track Running & Triathlon Company for donating all of the gift certificates (totaling $1100) for prizes.

Location:
Starting line is on west side of Channel Islands Harbor, just north of the Whales Tail Restaurant, 3950 Bluefin Circle, Oxnard, CA 93035.
Course:
The 10K (6.2 miles) travels through Hollywood Beach, Oxnard State Beach Park and Mandalay Shores (on road next to beach) and features a very fast and flat course and a cool ocean breeze. The 5K (3.1 miles) utilizes the same course except that the out and back turnaround is half the distance. Both events welcome runners and walkers of all ages and abilities but recreational walkers are asked to do the 5K.
Awards:
10K Race - Awards to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in all age divisions;
5K Fun Run/Walk – Awards for the first 3 male and 3 female finishers.
